  • Beta Page - Details on weapons, classes, perks, and the Xbox 360 Beta itself. Even if you don't plan on playing the 360 Beta, the info is pretty in depth and it's a good read!

  • Deadly Silence (movie) - What's cool about these videos is all their distincitions. The show various "perks" that you pick along with weapon loadouts and so forth to create your own, custom classes. Sounds fun!

XBOX 360 USERS WHO WANT IN THE BETA!
http://www.charlieoscardelta.com/
As of tonight, it is a "maintenance" splash page. People are guessing that either tomorrow (Wednesday) or something in a very short timeframe that the beta sign-ups will begin on their site. Keep a close eye on the site, and report back when it goes live!

Beta signups open this MONDAY on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis. You will sign up through the Beta HQ @ http://www.charlieoscardelta.com/

On Monday, August 27th at 12pm Pacific Daylight Time, tokens to download the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Xbox 360 Multiplayer Beta will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. While Charlie Oscar Delta's tokens are linked to United States Xbox Live accounts only, we will be rolling the COD4:MW MP BETA out to additional select countries in early September. We will be posting the information here, at BETA HQ, so please check back for updates for your country.

Hopefully the keys (or "tickets") will last more than a few hours, like ETQW did. However, I couldn't count on it. I know I'm going to be on & waiting.

Right now it's United States only, poor Torn. :P However, early Setember will see unlocked codes in Canada (as well as any other countries).

If it wasn't clear, the COD4 MP BETA is Xbox 360 specific.

Impressions:

Very solid gameplay. Very fluid. Graphics are fantastic and no hitches in the gameplay at all. Should run great on PC. I actually liked the controls a lot, even though I'm usually terrible at console shooters. Should even be better on PC.

The perks worked nicely, but they're taking awhile to unlock perks that I want. Just got the Last Stand perk which is kind of retarded compared to most other ones. Challenges are pretty fun, and some of the weapons are great fun. AK kind of blows, though, but I'm trying hard to get better at it.

Right now my favorite class is one I've named "Rouge Commando". It's an AK74 with C4, Increased Damage, and Deep Impact (more bullet penetration). It's pretty fun.

I just played one game as sniper on Overgrown - that was a LOT more fun than I had originally though. Stealth is a pretty big factor into this game, and it's a lot more complicated than just "stay crouched" to remain stealthy. For example, if you fire a non-silenced weapon, it will display your position on the mini-map temporarily. Definitely a good gameplay feature.

Anyway, that's it for now. If you've got any questions in particular, let me know.

I will only buy this game after playing the multiplayer demo. Since that doesn't exist, I'm sticking with qw.
