I was in on the beta a while back.
It was cool - very big maps - huge to say the least - reminded me of Eve.
They giving it away now?
But again it is SONY - probably has a rootkit in the setup...

There are catches...you can play for free for a year, no credit card and such.  You can only get to level 6 though and then you can keep playing but earn no more experience.

I've been dabbling off and on since they started the free trial.  Hasn't changed since the beta.  Kinda slow...kinda hard to kill people.  Level 6 is just enough to get you a couple vehicles but nothing fancy.

They're not really catches - most games that do the "one year free" end up renewing that deal indefinately. The BR6 limit may be annoying, but you can always make new characters as well.

You get a free game, free expansion, and free one-year subscription. None too shabby in my books.
