Gateway FPD2185W TFT LCD Monitor
- HD ready with DCDi
- Integrated USB 4-port USB 2.0 hub
- VGA, component, S-Video and composite video inputs
- 1680x1050 Resolution (16:10 aspect ratio)
- Height adjustable stand, pivot, and auto screen rotation
- Picture in picture capability
- 8ms response time
- 1000:1 contrast ratio
Cost, $599.00 @ Best Buy or Office Max.
I use two of these in a dual monitor setup. They are as good as the Dell 20/24" widescreens without the added cost plus they are HDTV ready.

Yes, it is. The new 2407 is HDCP capable too, but you will need a HDMI->DVI cable for home theatre use...

Dell's got a new widescreen - E207WFP
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/prod ... u=320-5123Biggest feature is that it's a sub-$300 pricetag - but it's got all the bells and whistles. 20 inch, widescreen, LCD, fast response times, great colors, sharp image, etc, etc. If you want to dive into widescreen gaming, or haven't got an LCD yet, this is a great pick.

Here is an older write up but relevant none the less.
http://firingsquad.com/hardware/windows ... d_roundup/You also hear about guys using "TV" LCD sets for gaming but a TV based LCD doesn't have the pixel density for up close viewing. It might look good at 4 to 6 foot but at 2 feet you will go blind.
