New Monitor

Just got a brand new monitor (19 inch LCD). It's very nice. Going to play Counter-Strike Source for a bit, test it out.

Anyway, it's got a single dead pixel. Is there any programs out there that somewhat negate a dead pixel? For example, it won't appear at all against white, but it appears as bright green against black.

Uhh...I think they are called dead pixels because they are dead and unfixable...  My guess is that it blends in when in white so you will be less likely to see it.  Or maybe the entire pixel isn't dead but only a subset of the colors that make up the pixel.  Either way...I doubt it.  You could check the warranty and see if it covers dead pixels...but I think there needs to be quite a few before they'll take it back.  Or you could do the good 'ole give it back to the store and see if they'll care...some have nice return policies...
