The first Desert Combat sucked in my opinion. Will Desert Combat 2 be any better? That is "To be determined".

desert combat was more popular then 42 in the end.  Im sure theres prolly thousands still playing DC.  The gamelpay is exactly the same as BF2 becasue its from the creators so the must of did something right.  Although DC was more about vehicles rather then infantry like bf2.  DC's vehicles imo are so much better then bf2.  Thier were so many more and the diversity was great.  Tacticle nuke FTW!11!

Hell, I think you're just being a rebel here, always on the opposite side of spectrum. DC didn't suck, cause after playing DC, you'd never want to go back to regular BF2 because it was executed so well. I bet if they implemented the new addons into the BF2 engine, it would look mich better and it would be the perfect mod, not to mention Forgotten Hope and mods like that.

I am not on the opposite spectrum. I never liked DC and I always thought BF42 > DC.

Forgotten hope I always wanted to try but never got the chance.

I remember DC for the heli's - it added a whole other dimension for bf42 at the time...the tanks rocked too!

opinions are opinions...  but DC is the same exact thing from BF2.  Its from the same guys who made DC the gamepley is exactly the same with a couple more weapons.  Infantry is a little more complex then dc but dc wasn't about infantry is was about being a badass in mobile artillery from the air, bombing noobs in the warthog, nuking their base from yours, Locating enemy positions and relaying coordinates to mobile artillery on the ground to get that perfect hit, and last but not least the helos especially the black hawk with those huge missiles that thing took out anything.

Obviously you do care. DC still sucks. Maybe DC2 might be better, but DC sucks. I much prefer infantry over vehicle dominated maps any day.

i don't think u understand us.  Infantry wasn't the greatest and basically their were no vehicle dominated maps.  It was all vehicles.  My extent of infantry was running to my A-10 just to jump in.  Infantry sucked in DC as in 1942 also so they focused on making the mod more like a vehicle game then an infantry game.

You ruined it illusion. It was gonna be a long drawn out argument between me and Hell about how DC was/wasn't better than BF42 which would have some crazy climax where I would get kicked out of the clan or something. Now I'm stuck writing this....
