BF2 prob help meow

Postby illfusion on Sat Mar 25, 2006 9:25 pm

Alright i need to know if anyone uses a 7800gt overclocked to run bf2.  Ive seem to be having a major problem when starting bf2.  Ive patched it to the newest addition and everything seems to alright.  I load up the game and before it even goes to the first video it fucks up.  Like i duoble click on bf2 and the black screen comes up before the videos and then it just throws me back to desktop.

plz help i updated all drivers direct x and everything i can think of.

any help appreciated

Try getting rid of the movies and see what happens.  Sounds like a driver problem outside of that.

I do rename my movies so they are skipped.
Set your clock rate back to standard and see if it still crashes.
I would also try playing those videos outside of game to see if it still crashes.
Download the player here for .bik files:

Another reason why EA sucks gorilla bawls...  7800gtx overclocked works fine for any other patch in the game but for some reason EA said screw you guys its not gonna support the new patch.  Its on allot of different sites people are complaining and EA is like we are sorry and we are trying to resolve the issue.  Some cards that were supported before were fully tested for the new patch and will not work.
