LOL u kids and your trucks...  Well even though u are all most definitely older than me...

I will take you all...

I actually own an 82' vette.... with a manual, which I installed 3 years back (performance transmission with gears set to the specs of the previous engine which sucks now since i rebuilt the engine, but it is still better)... which has made it a world of more fun..  I thot i'd put that out  b4 u bash it for its auto tranny, bc bout 90% are automatics for the years 81-82'

This past summer I recently had my engine rebuilt and had my 350 cu in block re-bored so my piston volume is about 1.15 time its original size... I also got it professionally balanced which alone has made a world of difference in the power.
then I pulled out the crossfire fuel injection system, which is said to go brittle after bout 8 - 10 years which it has not, for nastalgic purposes i guess... and replaced is with a 24 valve electronic fuel inection system that adjusts accordingly to several factors
($6,800) for all the work and installation

any ways i took my car to a diagnostics center and it has now gone from about 290 hp before the work done on the car, and now has about 370-380 hp at 5500-5800RPM range...

sadly many things have been happening since
it needs a paint job after being caught in a lame hail storm, which did not bust any of the fiberglass... but did however cause many chips in the paint which my adjuster would not cover for reasons beyond my belief

BUT WORST of all 3 months back it has begun spitting gas out the exhaust... very bad...  this basically means that the motorshop i took my engine to definitely F'd something up with their work...  I'm guessing a bad seal but any insights would be apprecciated... they have not yet accepted responsibility...

I will put up a pic here soon but i am currently in the campus library...

also it has straight pipes... but not by choice
then pipes on my exhaust are still the originals and have rusted out making caverns that open to the road about 8 inches before the mufflers...

i have been pulled over twice for it and was told to fix it the first time and was given a warning... I guess in the state of Colorado it is against the law to modify your exhaust to make it louder, which i really did not.  anyways the second time i was given a ticket for disturbing the peace driving downtown... or something to that effect(pretty gay)
i thought it was pretty lame considering all of the rice burners with their abnoxious glass packs and the trucks with their thrush packs... which they purposely changed, but hmm...

I love the older cars, but they are a pain to maintain.  Need some pics of the car.

hehe i thought u said glass... i was hmm he just said he didn't have glass packs.  Well if your getting raw gas already coming out of thier then run a spark plug to the tip of your exhaust.

i want to do it on my truck to get some flames but hurts your pistons after a while and you have to change your oil twice as much.

its really easy all you do is connect a line to bypass the spark.  when your rev your truck or car to about 4 or  5 grand and let off it sends raw gas down your piston into your headers and straight out the exhaust.  When your engine revs down from the 5 grand or so pooof out comes flames.  (lil more in depth then that but thats generally the jist of it)

lol...  the back force from the flames out the exhaust effect is seriously damaging after time... and i am trying to make my little stingray more along the lines of performance...  it is cute but I would rather keep my sexy little beast more to the effect of kicking ass then show

i just love it when a "mean" looking riceburner with ground effects and a crazy paint job, starts revvin at the light and wants to drag...  i'll drag em and then slow down to see their sorry faces...  its all about whats under the hood...

I have only lost to three cars in the last year.

1. 1993 Supra Turbo (pretty much expected)
2. Z4 M roadster (recently)
3. an 89' Beretta  WTF (i'll explain)
4. a 911 Porsche Carrera 4s (i did not drag just drove slowly and pretended to be the better man) should count as a loss but i did not drag it lol

anways
the beretta was actually a regular at the PMI track in Pueblo...
Everything under the hood of his car ws entirely redone, and he left the car with its original paint job to fool street lackeys like myself...  he did have a roll cage and all, but at night it was far from visible...
I guess his Avg. time was something near an 9-10 second 1/4 mile
BAH!!!!

I still love my baby!
pics to come soon... they are all from my past prom so there may be a sexy lady in the pic
