School has really caught up with me and I barely have time to play games for fun, let alone competitively. Social life, being in the honors program, plus tons of other homework, plus work, plus working out, etc... I just have zero free time. Plus I'm more into competition in FPS games, you guys seem to be drifting into MMO territory, which is cool... I just don't have time for.

When Battlefield 3 comes out you may see me back ground, but it depends how school is going as well. As it stands right now, even if I wanted to play, my ping is 300-400 half the time, so it's like impossible to compete. It really sucks, and I wish I was contributing more.

ETQW has been dead in the water for a bit, even being at school I still showed up for all our matches, which I wish I could say about all our members. As of now, ETQW in hk is retired. If some interest re-ignites for a one-night-a-week 6v6 league, let me know.

Teams...

- Battlefield 8v8 team... we never got a big name, but we had a lot of fun. Meeting Skorzeny, Jack Rabbit, SirPsycho, Athena, Shoat, Hellstorm, and the entire hk crew was great. My love for being a squad leader developed through this team, and I had a great time developing those skills over time.

- Battlefield 2 5v5 team. I loved y'all... I don't think any of you are left, sadly. Castor, atamanch, xNxGenious, Zappy, BraSkeeSko... we tore shit up. I loved all you guys, seriously. Tightest knit group in hk while it lasted, we stayed up all fucking night every night scrimming. Actually beat down 20ID in a few scrims, I seriously think this may have been our best team, and was a highlight of my time in hk. #2 on TWL ladder (out of over 100 teams) among other shit.

- Battlefield 2142 team... was a bit rough at first, but after you got used to my style we torn shit up. Was fun meeting everyone, but especially Torn, you're my bro dude. Not too sure who else is left. We did pretty good, but never really reached the top. Was a big :( when Zappy left. I loved that guy. Was also really fun when atamanch came back and raped shit up for a few games, haha.

- ETQW team... made some great friends. soccerkrzy, frizlefry, DemonVixen, space, and Torn are probably some of my closest friends who I met through the clan. Though I never see frizlefry anymore! But shoutouts to Seba, Slotz, Jeese, RotBot, millon, and everyone else. We never won any fuckin' leagues, but we DID go 25 straight games w/o a single loss, and about another 50 scrims on top of that without a loss. We were the greatest fuckin' ETQW team for so long, haha. I'll never forget our first season, and there was some highlights to the second one, too.

People...

- Hellstorm, we had our fair share of spats, but you were always a legit dude and you never kicked me out for arguing with you, which earns mad respect in my books. I may not be the most agreeable person, but I hope you realized that at least the debate made the team stronger, at least I think so. Being able to prove my ideas and philosophies on the battlefield really paid off, and we had some badass teams in Battlefield.

- Athena, you were always there when I was having a bad time and you may have no always had my back, but you did listen to me when I needed it, so thank ya.

- Castor, you were like a bro to me and then you disappeared. I even went to QuakeCon and never met you! That's a crime in my book. Hehe... I love you dude, you were great and the many matches we played in BF2 were some of my favorite times. You were my medic buddy and always will be.

- Zappy, you left you fucker. We had some good times, meeting in WSVG LAN was great fun. Loved playin' with you guys and the PTX crew. We had some good times in BF2142 and BF2... miss ya a ton dude.

- Torn, we've got some great shit going. You were as a badass dude in BF2142, but your badassness only increased into ETQW, Supreme Commander, Sins, Forged, and more... you've been my best bud for awhile. Hopefully we'll still keep playing, haven't seen you in a week or so! I need my FA fix! :D

- Everyone else, I love you guys, especially the ETQW team. But you other people... you're all funtastic, too. :)

Feel free to hit me up if you just feel like playing for fun. I still play Forged Alliance, Sins of a Solar Empire, Call of Duty 4, ETQW, and an occassional game of CSS. Add me on Spore, too.

I remember spending hours studying the Moa Birds migration patterns, and bowing or kneeling in their presence, lol...

Aw shit I forgot about that. Guild Wars + Sedra + Moa Birds = epic win. <3

Good luck, Mattc0m! ETQW was great while it lasted. Sorry about fading away at the end of season 2. My laptop's video card blew up in June, and I stopped PC gaming for 2 months until I built a new desktop. As for ETQW, I'm probably too burned out for another league, as I've played more ETQW in one year than I've played Counter-strike over 7 years. If you ever change your mind about coming over to the MMO dark side, feel free to join us in Warhammer.

It was great playing with you. I don't know of anyone who could have captained our team of misfits better. You are truly an Icy Hot Stunta. I hope you'll be around for Left 4 Dead, Quake Live, or Battlefield Heroes, which are probably the only shooter's I'll be playing in the near future.

Hugs and kisses (but not in a gay way).

We had some great times, you were a super reliable dude in all my times and you get mad props for me. Much fun for all 2 hours you pubbed with us, too. :D

Will definitely be playing those games. Be sure just to keep on me on Xfire and hit me up, man.

I wouldn't say that we are drifting into MMO-land as much as waiting for a real competition game to come out. Warhammer has plenty of good competition within the game to keep us satisfied until another good competition FPS game is released - which I am guessing will not happen for at least a year. Left 4 Dead may have hope. Personally, I am a bit burnt out on the FPS community as a whole, and right now, MMO's seem pretty relaxing.

Thanks for hangin' in there and picking up as needed. Hope to see you return soon.

Anyway, gl & hf, don't be a stranger.

Ding dang ya'll cant believe what im readin..... ive been lurking around for a while now waiting to for something good to play again and now i see that matt has finally called it quits.... damn. Never thought i would see the day. Especially since im starting to get more free time now. All we need is a game that is actually fun to compete in and has a little bit of longevity and no CHEATERS..... ugh. Alas, i dont know if we will ever be able to play on a level playing field unless its a lan or live tourny. Well, good luck matt, life always seems to have a way of sorting out the important things and putting everything else on the back burner. See u when a decent battlefield comes out, or maybe when somethin hits xbox live thats good enough to draw my attention. U would like the new laptop i picked up :) had a little stay in the hospital and had to take some time off work, needed something to keep up with gaming and work while i was resting and recouping..... mx17 alienware... Anyways... see everyone eventually, dont think i forgot about you... just waiting to play someting worth while and mostly been playing combat arms and AOC. I beta tested Warhammer and wasnt impressed, cant play mmo's anymore, take up too much time and arnt rewarding enough when i kill someone :)

See ya matt,

Doing some web surfing and I thought eh what the hell might check up on good old hk. Fun times in bf2 with ya Matt had some incredible matches that I still think about today. I see RL getting to you as well haven't played a game in a very long time with my two jobs and school. I have been thinking about making a comeback into gaming but well well see like u said about BF3. PTX has died but a bunch of the guys still hop on a vent get trashed and play games, so in the future I might be looking for another team for good :-D and you guys were the first I thought of (but only if you would want me :icon_syda: ) Anyway good luck with school and everything else and remember who the knifing god is :Knife:

Haha, it's not really that, just the combination of my game dying + shitty internet + too busy + no other game to pick up. The RL stuff isn't so much of a concern, I still shoutcast a lot and you can check out my work over at www.enemyterritory.tv - but my ping is too crummy to really compete, sadly. :(

I'll definitely be back for BF3, but I'm keeping my eyes on other games as well.
